DialogShift: the best competitor — until navigation erased the customer
It understood the family and pet, used real hotel data and surfaced real links. Clicking a recommended link reopened the widget at the welcome state. A correct URL is not enough if the system forgets why the guest clicked it.
Canary: hotel-authored Q&A cannot become sales by branding it AI
Across tested properties, Canary was usually a website guide: text answers, generic links, no cards, no qualified booking journey, no captured lead and weak or absent escalation. The broad Canary operations suite is real; the tested website-sales layer did not match that breadth.
Chatlyn: fluent generation crossed the factual boundary

The vendor demo claimed PMS connectivity, direct bookings, a digital compendium and upsell AI. In the tested conversation the agent explicitly said it could not show cards or visuals and returned generic descriptions.
