Hotel AI comparison · 2026
MAIIA vs Quinta: Similar, until a guest starts talking.
Two hotel AI platforms can sound almost identical. A real family, two young children and one dog make the difference clear.
Every hotel AI platform seems to promise the same thing: more direct bookings, fewer repetitive questions and 24/7 guest service.
MAIIA and Quinta both speak about hospitality-specific AI, structured hotel data, direct bookings and visibility in external AI assistants. On a feature list, they may initially appear similar.
Scope of this review
Quinta is primarily designed to structure and distribute hotel information in the booking engine or PMS. MAIIA goes beyond and builds, enriches and activates hotel knowledge from all those systems, the website, reviews, Booking.com and hotel PDFs — automatically feeding the Website Sales Agent with complete online knowledge.

The reality test
We tested the guest experience—not only the marketing claims
The scenario was ordinary: a family of four, children aged three and five, travelling with a dog, asking which room would fit.
We examined a public Velma implementation on the H-Hotels website on 14 July 2026, then ran the same scenario through a MAIIA Website Sales Agent demonstration. Quinta configurations can differ; the observations describe this specific public implementation.
Conversation flow
A real guest does not think like a database
A guest does not arrive as separate fields. They arrive with a situation: two young children, a dog, a need for the right room, activities for the family and a solution for the dog while they visit the waterpark.
Sales capability
Answering questions and applying a sales strategy are different capabilities
Quinta’s structured-data model is a genuine strength. But the number of available fields does not determine whether the AI knows how to position and sell an individual property.
| Capability | Commercial result |
|---|---|
| Store a data point | The AI may know a fact |
| Retrieve it | The AI can answer a question |
| Combine several points | The AI can understand a situation |
| Match the situation with an offer | The AI can recommend |
| Apply a property strategy | The AI can differentiate and sell the hotel |
MAIIA includes predefined sales strategies for different hotel types and adapts them while analysing the property. It can identify commercially useful differentiators hidden inside ordinary website copy—from a pet policy that accommodates larger dogs in selected apartments to air-purification systems that matter in a city-centre location.
The hotel can adjust brand colours, tone, messages and strategy, but it does not have to design an AI sales system from scratch.
Setup reality
Why many hotel AI systems end up as FAQ bots
Most implementations ask the hotel to supply fields, FAQs, policies, descriptions, flows and training material. Hotel employees understand the property, but they are rarely AI trainers, data architects, multilingual product editors and digital sales strategists at the same time.
MAIIA can research and structure material from the hotel website, Booking.com, reviews, PDFs, menus, wellness price lists and other available sources. The hotel primarily reviews, corrects and approves. When an authorised user clicks Save in the CMS, the approved change becomes immediately available to MAIIA.
Content enrichment
From source material to sellable knowledge
A wellness price list
MAIIA can enrich a basic treatment name and price with a description, recognised benefits, how the treatment works, precautions, contraindications, images and sales copy. The hotel reviews the result before use.
A restaurant menu
Using standard recipes as a reviewable starting point, MAIIA can prepare likely ingredients, estimated calories, nutritional information, potential allergens, dietary classifications, images and useful translations. Property-specific recipes and safety information must be confirmed by the hotel.
Unlimited knowledge—not 3,700 versus 3,701
MAIIA does not compete by claiming a slightly larger number. It removes the predefined ceiling on properties, rooms, restaurant items, wellness treatments, packages, events, tours, destination locations, CMS products and guest questions. A hotel group can hold the complete knowledge of 100 properties within one group account.
Multilingual commerce
Multilingual answers are not the same as multilingual selling
The useful question is not “Can the chatbot answer in Japanese?” It is “Can the AI present and sell the hotel’s actual offer in Japanese?”
MAIIA supports all languages, while the hotel selects which languages to activate. That includes the conversation and the structured commercial content: room cards, packages, facilities, wellness, tours, destination content and calls to action.
Visual commerce
Every card has a commercial purpose
| Card | Destination |
|---|---|
| Room or package | Hotel booking system |
| Wellness service | Relevant hotel or wellness page |
| Tour or experience | Provider information or booking page |
| Park, beach or attraction | Tourism organisation or another verified source |
| Hotel facility | Relevant hotel page or commercial action |
Lead routing
Human handoff should not mean “contact reception”
When an item cannot be booked directly, MAIIA can collect contact information and create a contextual request. Room requests can reach reservations, pet-sitting can reach guest services, wellness can reach the spa team and transfers can reach the relevant concierge or transport team.
If the guest later adds another service, MAIIA can reuse the contact details already provided rather than restarting the lead.
AI discovery
A2A connects external assistants to the same Website Sales Agent
MAIIA does not provide ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude with a separate, reduced hotel database. Its A2A connection gives supported assistants access to the same Website Sales Agent knowledge, recommendation logic, property strategy and structured offers used on the hotel website.
Verdict
Quinta helps make structured hotel data accessible to AI. MAIIA gives external AI assistants access to the hotel’s Website Sales Agent.
Demand intelligence
From the first ChatGPT question to the last request inside the hotel
MAIIA can record what the traveler asked, their language, what WSA answered, which products were presented, which cards and links were clicked and what the traveler requested next.
The hotel can analyse discovery-stage A2A requests, website consideration and sales conversations and—through the separate MAIIA Guest App—in-stay demand. MAIIA Business Assistant can analyse the connected layer: what guests wanted, what MAIIA offered, what earned attention and where a knowledge or revenue opportunity may exist.
Pricing
Transparent pricing without a knowledge penalty
per month for smaller properties
per month up to 150 rooms
for each room above 150
No separate charge for AI training, number of knowledge entries, CMS products, amount of content or guest questions.
Commercial example · 170-room hotel · six months
€160,000+
in additional request and lead value
This excludes room bookings and other transactions MAIIA directed to the hotel booking engine. It represents the stated value of additional guest requests and qualified opportunities that required a lead or human confirmation.
This is lead value, not confirmed revenue, and should not be interpreted as though every request converted into a completed sale.At the applicable tier, a 170-room property would pay approximately €170 per month, or €1,020 over six months. Dividing the lead value by the fee would not be realised ROI; it does, however, show the scale of commercially relevant demand WSA can identify before counting booking-engine transactions.
